[Feature Story] The Myth of Mount Huashan

As one of the Five Great Mountains in China, Mount Huashan, located in Shaanxi Province in the west, is renowned for its towering peaks and spectacular precipices. It was regarded as “Treasure Mountain”due to its unique feng shui, and had thus been chosen as the location for imperial sacrificial rites in history. It was favoured by Taoists for its heavenly environment and was believed to be the abode of gods.
