Photographing the Macao Grand Prix

------The first Macau Grand Prix was held in November 1954, and the race facilities were rather poor at that time. There were only sand bags and bamboo sheds built along the runway as fenders, and the unprotected audiences had to stand on both sides of the racetrack. Nowadays, steel railings and safety nets are implemented throughout the track for better protection.
------The Macau sponsors widely publicized the event, and they invited many leading racers. The Grand Prix ran from four to six days, attracting tourists and correspondents from all over the world.
------The event included many races, such as the classic car race, vintage car race, Guia car race, Grand Prix motorcycle race, touring car race as well as the Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix.
------Every year, correspondents
and enthusiastic photographers
from many different countries
would dig out their camera
lenses and look into the best
vantage points beforehand,
hoping to shoot some great
pictures.
