[Feature Story] Taiwan Offshore Island

There are island beyond the beyond in Taiwan. To the west are the Penghu Islands and to the Southeast are Orchid Island and Green Island. From natural scenery to local customs, these islands are very different from the main island of Taiwan. In Penghu Islands, seafood is most sought after by tourists; but it is the wisdom of people, refined by their experience with strong gales and the sea, that is talked about most enthusiastically. In Orchid Island, the preservation of mysterious and superstitious taboos by the Yami ethnic group has made us understand that human beings and nature are on equal terms. On Green Island, Sunrise Ocean Bed Hot Springs is the best place to see the sunrise now, though in the past, it was the location of a horrible prison. By hopping from island to island, I found different seas and heard different stories.
